Quest® Super Once A Day contains niacin which causes the small blood vessels in skin to dilate so more blood can rush through. The niacin flush usually appears as a "prickly heat" sensation to the face and upper body. High doses of niacin can be prescribed by doctors to help improve the level of HDL (the “good” cholesterol) and prevent heart disease.
Taking the tablet with food helps reduce the intensity of the niacin flush. We also recommend you consult with your health care professional if the flushing is not mild or transient.
We do not recommend the splitting or crushing of timed-release tablets. It will reduce the timed-release function.
Yes, we recommend that you take your multivitamin with the largest meal of the day, to reduce the chance of stomach discomfort. Please also read the label before use.
